Our service is a tool for media analysis and critical thinking support. By using this website, you warrant that you will not:
biasBridge is designed as an educational tool to reveal linguistic patterns, framing, and cognitive shortcuts that are natural to human communication. The identification of a pattern (e.g., "emotional wording" or "omitted perspective") is not an accusation of malice, falsehood, or poor journalism.
The service analyzes how a story is told, not what happened. It does not fact-check external events in real-time. A "biased" framing can still contain factually correct information.
The analysis is generated by Large Language Models (LLMs) which can occasionally hallucinate, misinterpret sarcasm, or reflect their own training biases. You agree to use the results as a starting point for critical thinking, not as an absolute judgment of a media outlet's quality.
You acknowledge that biasBridge is a tool that processes content submitted by you. You represent and warrant that you have the lawful right to access, read, and submit this content for analysis.
Our service does not bypass paywalls or access restricted content on your behalf. You agree not to submit content that violates third-party terms of service (e.g., bypassing a paywall you do not have a subscription for). You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to access the content you submit.
biasBridge operates on a "Transient Processing" basis regarding third-party content. We do not store the full text of submitted articles in our database. The article text is processed in real-time solely to generate the analysis and is discarded immediately after the result is generated. Only the generated analysis, metadata, and the original URL are retained in your account history. Analysis records are retained indefinitely as part of your account until you delete them.
You may delete individual analysis records at any time through your account dashboard. Deleted analyses are permanently removed from our systems immediately.
If you provide feedback, corrections, or flag specific text snippets ("Feedback") to improve the analysis, you grant us a perpetual, non-exclusive license to use this Feedback for internal testing, calibration, and "few-shot" prompting examples to improve our algorithms.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller & Merchant of Record, Polar.sh. Payment processing, billing, taxes, and refunds are handled directly by Polar. By subscribing to biasBridge, you agree to Polar’s Terms of Sale in addition to these Terms.
Refunds: All refund requests are subject to Polar's refund policy.
Management: Subscription cancellations and upgrades are handled via the customer portal provided by Polar.
1. Privacy-First: We are designed to minimize data collection. We do not track your browsing history across other sites and do not use third-party advertising pixels.
2. EU Infrastructure: Our servers and database are hosted within the European Union to ensure strict adherence to GDPR standards.

We target 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service due to maintenance, updates, or unforeseen issues.
Modifications: We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service (including specific features or Free Tier limits) at any time, with or without notice.
Free Tier: For "Free Tier" users, we explicitly reserve the right to throttle usage or limit features to ensure stability for Pro subscribers.
The interface, logo, analysis algorithms, and generated metadata of biasBridge are owned by the Operator and are protected by copyright law. We grant our users permission to download/share the analysis results for personal, non-commercial use, provided biasBridge is credited (e.g., "Analysis by biasBridge" with a link to biasbridge.com).
Our website and the materials on our website are provided on an 'as is' basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, biasBridge (and its operator) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your access to or use of the service.
(Note: Liability for intent and gross negligence remains unaffected in accordance with German statutory law.)
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless biasBridge and its operator from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party (including submitting copyrighted content without authorization).
Informal Resolution: Before filing any claim against biasBridge, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at info@biasbridge.com. We will try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting you via email. If a dispute is not resolved within 30 days of submission, you or biasBridge may bring a formal proceeding.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.
Data Deletion: Upon account termination, your personal account data (email, profile settings) and all stored analysis records will be marked for deletion and permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Inactive Accounts: Accounts with no login activity for 36 consecutive months may be marked inactive. We will email you 60 days before scheduled deletion. If you do not respond, the account and all associated data will be permanently deleted.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and biasBridge regarding the Service.
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany. You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that State or location.
